Independent Software Engineer, Technical Architect

  • Architected and built 16 applications end to end across AI, fintech, healthtech, agritech, edtech, blockchain, and media, owning requirements, data modeling, system architecture, and implementation without external specification.
  • Designed a reusable engineering methodology (screen accountability tables, schema specifications, mandatory-procedure documents) adopted across four subsequent products, standardizing how features are scoped and verified before code is written.
  • Built a shared themed component system with blueprint-driven design tokens, reused across three separate codebases to keep styling consistent and reduce new-screen build time.
  • Directed AI coding systems at scale while maintaining verification discipline. Audited an AI-reported “100% complete”status against source, established actual completion at 40-45% (0 of 20 SDK integrations, 0 tests), and rebuilt the delivery plan around the real number.
  • Reversed two costly architectural decisions after independent analysis: replaced a from-scratch blockchain build with a BSC fork, and corrected a single-app marketplace design into a two-sided architecture after identifying that buyers had no client application.

  • Built stateful agent orchestration with LangGraph, using StateGraph execution with ToolNode invocation and MemorySaver persistence, letting the agent reason, call tools, evaluate results, and re-plan across multi-turn sessions rather than running a single-shot chain.
  • Architected a provider-agnostic LLM gateway routing dynamically between Anthropic and Google instead of exposing one provider’s capabilities as tools to the other; eliminates vendor lock-in and enables cost-based model routing.
  • Integrated a six-tool external registry so new agent capabilities can be added without redeploying the application; implemented token-by-token SSE streaming on the Next.js edge runtime for low first-token latency.
  • Controlled context-window growth and inference cost via trimMessages windowing and Anthropic prompt caching on a large static system prompt.
  • Built multimodal features on Gemini, including image-to-story generation and controllable TTS narration, with all provider keys proxied server-side so no credential reaches the browser.

AES Connect: civic and diaspora platform for the Sahel

  • Architected a 200+ component application with three nested tab environments and context-aware navigation modeled on super-app patterns.
  • Enforced multi-nation data isolation at the database layer usingPostgreSQL Row Level Security, so community-scoped content cannot leak across member states regardless of client-side behavior.
  • Implemented offline-first state persistence (Redux Persist and AsyncStorage) so the application remains usable before connectivity returns. This is a requirement, not an optimization, in target markets.

Faso Kuma: AI voice translation for low-resource languages

  • Designed a voice-first architecture for French, Mooré, and Dioula, targeting a market with 85% mobile penetration against 19.9% internetpenetration.
  • Specified a proprietary dataset strategy: crowdsourced translations promoted to confirmed status after three independent validations, stored in segregated tables and licensed CC BY-NC-SA to keep the corpus open to African researchers while reserving commercial rights.
  • Architected a caching layer so third-party translation API results populate a first-party dataset, progressively reducing external dependency as coverage grows.
